Detailed Answer
Absolutely! We work with clients in vacation destinations and remote locations all the time. Some of our most exciting projects have been vacation homes, lake houses, and properties far from the DFW area. Distance doesn't limit great design when you have the right process and technology.
How Remote Projects Work
We use video calls for initial consultations and regular check-ins throughout the project. We'll do virtual walk-throughs of your space, and we create detailed floor plans and 3D renderings so you can see exactly how everything will look before we order a single piece.
Logistics Made Simple
We handle all the logistics including shipping coordination, delivery scheduling, and working with local contractors or installers in your area. We've worked with teams across Texas and in vacation destinations, so we know how to manage projects from a distance.
Communication is Key
You get the same personalized attention whether you're in Rockwall or your mountain cabin in Colorado. We keep you updated every step of the way with photos, progress reports, and quick video updates. Technology makes it feel like we're right there with you.
Perfect for Vacation Properties
Vacation homes have unique needs like low-maintenance materials, durable finishes, and designs that work for both relaxation and entertaining. We understand these special requirements and love creating spaces that feel like a true getaway.
The only thing that changes with distance is our meeting style. Everything else stays the same, including our commitment to creating a space you absolutely love.
Other Common Questions
North Texas homes face extreme heat, clay soil foundation issues, and the need for durable materials that can handle 100+ degree summers. We select fabrics and finishes that won't fade in intense sun and plan layouts that maximize natural light while controlling heat gain.
- Heat-resistant materials and fade-proof fabrics
- Foundation settling solutions and flexible design elements
- Energy-efficient window treatments and lighting plans
Most projects take 3-6 months from start to finish, but this depends on the scope and whether construction is involved. Simple rooms can be completed in 6-8 weeks, while whole house projects or vacation home designs typically take longer due to shipping and coordination.
- Single room: 6-8 weeks
- Multiple rooms: 3-4 months
- Whole house or construction projects: 4-6 months
Living in North Texas, we know firsthand how brutal the summers can be. When we're selecting materials and finishes, we consider how they'll hold up in 100+ degree heat and high humidity.
We choose fabrics that won't fade in intense sunlight and flooring that won't expand or buckle with temperature changes. For window treatments, we focus on options that block heat while still looking beautiful.
Construction projects can have unexpected challenges, and we handle them quickly and transparently. As soon as we're aware of any delay or issue, we contact you immediately to explain what's happening and what we're doing to fix it.
We work directly with contractors to solve problems fast, whether it's a material delay, weather issue, or something unexpected that comes up during construction.
During our consultation, we'll walk through your space and really listen to how you live in it. We'll talk about what's working, what isn't, and what your dream outcome looks like. We'll take measurements and photos, and ask lots of questions about your lifestyle and preferences.
